Eden has provided Diversity Equity and Inclusion trainings to Fortune 500 corporations, local small businesses, city governments, school districts, and other organizations to shift the movement towards trans-inclusive services.
Eden is a Latine transfeminine nonbinary person. They were born and raised in Los Angeles. Eden is an champion for the rights of LGBTQ+ people and migrant communities. Eden's work centers economic justice, gender justice, and migrant justice. With expertise in career and finance coaching as well as a network of resources, Eden wants to bring power back to their communities one encounter at a time.
Eden currently serves as a Councilmember for the Trans Advisory Council of the City of Los Angeles. They work with the community to implement policies and procedures for the socio-economic equity of transgender and nonbinary people in Los Angeles. Eden also serves as the Councilmember for the Transgender Advisory Board of the City of West Hollywood.
Eden served six years as the Program Manager for the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Transgender Economic Empowerment Project (TEEP), which offered holistic support for transgender people in need of legal name and gender marker changes, career-development skills, employment authorization document preparation, and advocacy in gender-based discrimination incidents. Eden's experience as an educator and community organizer extends back eleven years to their work in the City of Long Beach.
